Dossiers Creative Director Fabian Lang approached me with the idea of a setting of two competing sides: Theo Thanner, chief of the Austrian competition authority, fighting an overmighty Gerhard Drexel, CEO of Spar Austria.
In addition to the full page illustration I was asked to come up with ideas to lighten up the pages throughout the article. Naturally I was looking for something related to supermarkets and something Star Wars themed. Three of them made it into the magazine. See more more ideas in the concept sketches below.

Thumbnail sketches are an important part of quickly illustrating concepts and ideas for the client without wasting the clients money and your own time. In this case you can see the variety of concepts I came up with and how the final outcome was much more refined.
